The Dutch artist Bert Sarah is fascinated by eccentric beauty that he tries to capture but also remains a vision. Part dream part reality, his creatures often with horns and a tail, and male and female at the same time, seem fantastic. Yet they reveal his own sexual persona: his experiences and the roles one can adopt. These ballpoint drawings about the power to be seduced and to seduce are in a way fetishist self portraits.

Bert Sarah was born in 1957 in Rotterdam and is self-taught. He lives and works in Antwerp.
